An October Wedding at Jacob’s Pillow

Just over a year ago, on a chilly, drizzly October day—much like today—Rebecca and Brian were married at Jacob’s Pillow. Rebecca had grown up coming to her grandparents’ historic home in West Stockbridge and knew that the Berkshires was the only place she wanted to get married. Surrounding herself with family, her closest friends and favorite childhood surroundings meant that she was adding one more amazing memory to her “happy place.” In fact, Rebecca—who’s also a bit of an artist—painted a beautiful watercolor of her grandparents’ road in a fall setting, and this became the liner for their invitation envelopes as well as the inspiration for so many other components of their wedding day!

This event was one of those “dreaded” situations where the weather simply would not cooperate, and even though they really had their hearts set on holding the ceremony at the Inside/Out Stage, we had to take their safety and their guests’ comfort into consideration. We ended up moving forward with our Plan B, an indoor ceremony in the Doris Duke Theatre, and as you will see, this still-beautiful backup plan did not disappoint!

For cocktails, we kept the guests in the Doris Duke, moving them to the rear of the space which had been beautifully (and deliciously!) set up by The Swell Party catering. We then moved the crowd into the stunning new Perles Family Studio, so gorgeously adorned by Daisy Stone florals and Rob Alberti Lighting. Rentals from local rental company Classical Tents completed the look…just check out those gorgeous vintage blue goblets!

Ricky Rodriguez, Rebecca and Brian’s wedding photographer, was able to capture some fantastic images of the couple outside before the ceremony…including the outdoor stage area…and we’re just crazy-excited to share them with you now!
