Our Top Ten Picks for a Charlottesville, Virginia Wedding
Growing up in the Shenandoah Valley, I often took for granted just how gorgeous my surroundings were...even with my weekly trips to Charlottesville over the beautiful Afton Mountain for orchestra rehearsal (thanks for all the rides, Dad!). Fortunately, there were others who took notice and thought, "Hm, what a beautiful region this is for a wedding!"
And boy, have weddings come a long way since those days...much more sophisticated than the then-typical tea and cookies in the church hall (although, they certainly were charming all the same). So it's no wonder, being a destination wedding planner, that I naturally want to be in the area as often as I can (I get to visit my family, too!). And with all of these amazing wedding venues dotting the countryside, there's no reason not to be!
So with this, I wanted to give you my Top Ten list (in no particular order) of wedding venues in the Charlottesville area (and this was no easy list to compile, mind you, with SO MANY OPTIONS). Let's get started!
Situated along the rolling hills of Virginia’s Monticello Wine Trail, Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is a wedding destination growing in popularity, not only because of their boutique wines or vineyard/farm-to-table fare, but for their positively stunning views of the valley. Their rustic-chic, barn-inspired granary, complete with elegantly decorated private spaces for the bride and groom to get ready, also includes tables, chairs, linens and dinnerware, taking much of the guesswork out of the dinner design (of course, outside rentals for a unique look are always allowed). They are open year-round for weddings, rehearsal dinners and private events. Really, it's no wonder they were recently highlighted by Bride's Magazine as a top wedding venue for 2018!
Trump Winery might just be the most versatile wedding venue on my list. With four venue choices (yes, four!) all on one property, this stunning estate truly has something for everyone.
