Bohemian Chic Camp Wedding in the Berkshires
When Leah and Erik called me, it was pretty late in the game. We were only about three months out from their wedding, and though Leah had done much of the planning herself, she felt like she needed my help pulling it all together, as well as some design guidance that would help her unify the MANY (like many, many, MANY) vintage pieces she had already sourced from flea markets, estate sales, etc., with the chairs, linens, china and other rental items she still had left to secure from the rental companies.
Since this was a situation where my full-service package was more than she needed, but my event-management package (month-of coordination) was not enough, I was happy to create a custom package, right in the middle, to satisfy both our needs.
Leah and Erik had already reserved their venue--Camp Lenox in the Berkshires--so when she saw images from another wedding I had done at Camp Lenox, she knew she wanted to work with me. And after only a few minutes on the phone with her--the Cat Lady of Boston--I knew we were the purrfect fit! ;)
In the months since she and Erik had gotten engaged, Leah started collecting an impressive (read: MASSIVE!) amount of vintage glassware...from goblets to teacups to decanters...emeralds, sapphires, rubies and amber shades...all VERY organized according to how she wanted each part of her event to look. Her fantastic collection, coupled with Propagate Studio's incredible florals really made this bohemian chic wedding stand out from the rest. And as you'll see from the images below...her vision truly came to life using these very special pieces.
Each part of their wedding, really, had a personal element tied to it. Friends who gave their time and talents to become part of the wedding team--a DJ, a floral designer, a calligrapher--all excitedly showing up on cue and delivering a FLAWLESS execution.
I could go on and on about how much I loved working with this crew...but I think the images below, by Canadian photographer Kaihla Tonai, perfectly capture just how wonderful this family was to work with. You can see it in their faces and in the expressions of their guests.
Leah and Erik, we wish you many, MANY years of "meowied" bliss!
